Beaches are always special but the ones in Spain are a tad bit special. They are adorned with white sands and blue, clear waters and are perfect for water activities. Es Trenc, Mallorca
If you visit this place in November you can see that the entire seaweed has been cleared out. It offers a spectacular view right then. It is an idyllic beach and unlike the other beaches of Spain, it doesn’t remain much crowded, anytime so you can enjoy a splendid afternoon. Walking from one end of the beach to another takes a good 30 minutes – that along with the view of the beach will stun you. Money-wise this beach is quite pocket-friendly – you have to pay 7 Euros to park your car here all day.
Benicassim, Costa Azahar
Benicassim is a beach resort and also a municipality. This place looks stunning when viewed from the top – the pictures will completely leave you astounded. The water here is turquoise blue and is as clean as the other beaches in Spain. The economy of this place is largely tourism-based so you will find tourists here all throughout the year apparently. The Rototom Sunsplash is a music festival which it is very famous for. If you visit here during the music festivals, the place has a different vibe altogether. It is mostly for the youth but you have to be only young at heart to fit in the crowd.
Torremolinos, Costa del Sol
If you want to visit a place in Spain without any cultural attractions, events or monuments, then this is the place. All you can do here is rest and sunbathe in the beach. If you want to escape from your daily routine and seeking some calm, then the beaches here have exactly that to offer you. This beach is popular with the gay crowd and it is also famous for the snowbirds. Walk along the beaches or hop the bars during the evenings, you can also rent a bike to move fast.
La Concha, San Sebastian
Now this is a beach that is livelier than the rest. You will find a lot of activities to do here. It is one of the most famous beaches that are popular for its urbaneness. There are plenty of restaurants around and the view of the beach itself is astounding. It is a very nice area with a lot of towns. The major hotspot here is Peine de los Vientos – it is at the end of the broad walk and offers a panoramic view of the beach. To reach its one end from the other side, you will need a good 20-30 minutes.
Genoveses, Almeria
Do you want to view a mix of view and wonder? Then visit the Genoveses, Almeria beach. This beach is nestled along the desert side and offers a view like no other. Usually the beaches do not have such natural flora and fauna around them. If you are a beach hopper looking for the perfect scenic beauty, then this is the one place you should definitely visit. You can take a shuttle bus or drive from San Jose to reach this place. You have to park a little far from the beach but that is only because the walk towards and the stay there is a whole new experience altogether.
El Cotillo, Fuerteventura
El Cotillo beach is quite big and has its own specialty. You will be able to see the beach and lagoons that are nearby. There is also a museum for traditional fishing around this area. The rock pools and the sunsets are what grab your attention. It is basically a village space which will again offer you the natural quietness. If you want to go to a romantic holiday or a getaway, then this is the place you should visit. You can also just sit and watch the sunsets here over viewing the wind cheater.
Langre, Cantabria
This beach has been highly rated for traveling both solo and with friends and family. It is split into two parts – the left part is smaller and easier to access. It is also better for surfing if you are interested in such kind of activities. On the right side of the beach, you have to go for the Seamless suntan; here you will find the lifeguards present. However, if you want to go nude on the beach then you have to go to the far (right) end of the beach where the lifeguards are generally absent. The beach has a shallow slope and is not ideal for the weak swimmers during high tide. However it is good for kids. But you must be careful with the timings.
Playa de Ses Illetes, Formentera, Balearic Islands
This is yet another beach with pristine, clear water. The best time to visit this place is April when the climate is windy and slightly cool. It is definitely one of those beaches which are better during the summers. You can either take an Aqua bus to this place or take a scooter – the visitors are recommended scooters as theyare much more fun. Taxi is expensive, but you can hire a cycle – it is fun to ride to this place. There are rocky parts on this beach but there are also many high areas which give a spectacular view.
Playa de Bolonia, Tarifa, Spain
You have to climb a dune to view this place, but trust me, it will be worth it. At times it can get very windy to swim, but it is an ideal spot for family tourists. There is also a Roman Archeological site nearby which you must see. The sand here is soft and clean, and the view is merry. It is the perfect holiday spot to visit with your entire family.
